Bernadette was born and grew up in Montreal. Her parents, who were both dedicated to education, social justice and working hard gave Bernadette a great foundation on which to build her own dedication to a life of caring and service. Bernadette joined the clinic in in 1991 and during her 30 years here she has practiced in all areas of law, she specializes in Worker’s Compensation matters and is particularly proud of the work she has done defending the rights of injured workers.
She is dedicated to public service and has provided municipal leadership as a City Cornwall City Councillor for 12 years and then as mayor for 3 years.
Robert Coulombe

Robert is the proud father of two boys, who occupy most of his free time. His other favourite pastimes are reading and participating in activities that help to make Cornwall and SDG a great place to live for everyone.
Robert is a lawyer, and he assists clients in all areas of clinic law and is fluent in English and French. Prior to joining the clinic in 2014, he worked in private practice, particularly in the areas of family law and civil litigation.
Patti Carson

Patti collects experiences and interactions. She loves nature and art and dogs and growing things and being with kids. She is trying to get better at taking the time to stop, consider and appreciate it all. Listening, photography and creating art helps her to do this and to find joy more often than not. Patti has been with Clinic juridique Roy McMurtry Legal Clinic since 2012 as our Community Legal Worker. She brings past experience working in Social Services and Education. She provides help with working through systems to help with legal problems and connect with community resources.
Carol-Ann Sauve

Carol is a big geek/nerd and the number one Wonder Woman fan. She runs a local, annual pop culture convention called CAPE (Cornwall & Area Pop Event). You may recognize Carol as a professional photographer/DJ over the years. She started working at Clinique juridique Roy McMurtry Legal Clinic in 2018 as Client Services Assistant. She has been the front line staff who has likely answered your calls or greeted you as you enter the office. She graduated from St. Lawrence College (Office Administrative and Administrative Assistant) and has worked in the community in the administrative field (and has been self-employed for the past 20 years). She is now happy to help the clients seen at the Clinic.
Audrey Labrie

Audrey lives with two beautiful cats who do their best to be the centre of her attention as much as possible. Audrey cares deeply about social justice and helping all people work towards a more equitable world. She has been at the Legal Clinic since 2018 working as a lawyer who focuses on housing, employment and income security issues as well as human rights. She is an enthusiastic defender of French Language Rights who has experienced living in a francophone minority setting in Alberta and Ontario. She has served as the Vice-President of the Fédération des communautés francophones et acadienne du Canada (FCFA).
Joanne deserres

Joanne enjoys travelling to sunny destinations during the winter and being out on the water in her boat as much as she can in the summer. She is still waiting for grandchildren, but in the meantime is happy with her two grand puppies and two grand kitties. She joined the Clinique juridique Roy McMurtry Legal Clinic in May of 2015 after working as a Legal Assistant in private practice for 30 years. She keeps us all organized at the Clinic as Administrative and Client Services Assistant.
Teisha mattison

Teisha was born and raised in Jamaica, where she practiced as a lawyer. She holds a masters of law degree from Japan and her professional experiences include work for the United Nations in Geneva. Teisha has been with the clinic for since 2018. She first joined as an articling student and was hired after her call. She is a staff lawyer. She provides service in all areas of law offered by the clinic.
